Plato's Protractor™ - The Activities

This series of six single page investigations builds on the concept of angle, with its mental imagery, that is developed in the earlier angles section of the Explorer manual. In Plato’s protractor the Mathomat kids learn to build a robust understanding of angle that is based on arc length. This is important for understanding the geometry topics generally taught in secondary school, including trigonometry, and for being able to measure angle in radians using the Mathomat protractor.
