  • R300T Mathomat Ruler

The R300T Mathomat ruler from OLM is flexible, and designed for pencil cases. The R300T is densely packed with geometric shape stencils which can be used with the generous 300mm ruler edges (in millimetres and centimetres) and the central protractor for technical and creative drawing at a moments notice. The R300T can be used for drawing an extensive range of creative 2D and 3D patterns, for trigonometry, drawing solids for area and volume calculation, representing statistical information in neatly sketched graphs and pi charts.

Drawing is important for understanding mathematics as well as for class work and project work across a range of school subjects, including geography, art and technology and design.

The R300T Mathomat ruler is a powerful drawing tool in its own right, and it can also be used in conjunction with the Mathomat template. Shapes in the R300T are designed to compliment the Mathomat template; regular polygons in the R300T for example have 12mm side lengths compared with the 10mm and 15mm side lengths in the Mathomat template, the ellipses in the R300T complement the template ellipses. The Australian Curriculum Mathematics (ACMMG 112) recommends that students learn to use both half circle and full circle protractors; which is encouraged if students have both the template and the ruler versions of Mathomat available while studying.

The Mathomat R300T is subject to Australian Patent Application No. 2016900467 and is registered as a design in Australia (367383).
